Development of fertilizers and natural stimulants Développement d’engrais et de stimulants naturels As written above, after the spectacular growth of agricultural production in the twentieth century, current development practices focus on a more rational and sustainable agriculture. This pathway must preserve natural resources as well as the plhealth of farmers working on it. TULIP Labex is part of the Ecophyto 2018 program. It aims to reduce the use of pesticides by half by 2018. Biological molecules and products should stimulate innate plant immune response against their aggressors. Based on genetic improvement of crops, researchers also work on relationships between plants and soil bacteria, some organisms being able to provide their nutrients.
