Four post-doctoral fellowships for TULIP

.

About TULIP

The Laboratory of excellence (Labex) TULIP is a consortium of 5 institutes promoting an interdisciplinary approach which focuses on the interactions between organisms within communities, both in natural and man-made environments. The long-term goal is to develop a comprehensive theory of these interactions in order to study the capacity of organisms to adapt to environmental changes. At the same time TULIP aims to strengthen the link between scientists working in the fields of plant biology, agrobiosciences, evolutionary biology, biodiversity and ecology. It covers all aspects of biotic interactions - from genes to ecosystems.

The participating institutes include the Evolution and Biological Diversity Laboratory (EDB), the Genomics and Biotechnology of Fruit Laboratory (GBF), the Plant-Microbe Interactions Laboratory (LIPM), the Plant Sciences Laboratory (LRSV) and the Field Station for Experimental Ecology (SEEM ). TULIP is organised  by both Dominique Roby (Plant Sciences) and Etienne Danchin (Evolutionary Ecology), and the funding institutions are the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research), ENFA (Graduate School in Agronomy), INPT (National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse), INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research) and UT3 (Paul Sabatier University).

The profile of the applicant

Four interdisciplinary post-doctoral positions are currently being offered. Selection of applicants will be based on their motivation and relevant experience within the topics of the TULIP consortium. Selected applicants will join one of the 5 institutes  and ideally use an interdisciplinary approach at the interface between the different scientific domains (i.e. plant, animal and microbial molecular biology and genetics, plant pathology, plant development, evolutionary, behavioural and functional ecology). These post-doctoral positions are open to young scientists with genuine laboratory or field experience, including either experimental or theoretical expertise.

How to apply?

Applicants are encouraged to contact research team leaders (or other members) of our consortium in order to explore potential research projects. Please mention "TULIP post-doctoral fellowships" when making contact. Please note that you must send a CV & letter of motivation using the application form.
