Camille Pugnier, laureate of the Lecoq prize from Académie des Sciences

Every year, the Academy of Sciences awards numerous prizes and medals covering all scientific fields, both fundamental and applied. Camille Puginier, who defended her thesis in early 2025, was awarded the Lecoq Prize for her doctoral work on lichens.

Gain and loss of gene function shaped the nickel hyperaccumulation trait in Noccaea caerulescens

A team from the LRSV, which benefited from a Tulip welcome package, published a study in Plant Cell after obtaining the first high-quality assembly of the Noccaea caerulescens (Brassicaceaea) genome, enabling the identification of genes involved in nickel hyperaccumulation.

PhD "Position Grant" 25-26

Objective: Candidates willing to engage in a PhD in one of the 6 TULIP Laboratories can apply to obtain a grant covering 50% or 100% of the total salary cost of a three-year doctoral allocation contract. Master students ending their first-year program in 2025 and planning to engage in a PhD at the end of their second year of master (in 2026), are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates that have successfully completed a full master program in 2025 can also apply.

Several groups of LysM-RLKs are involved in symbiotic signal perception and arbuscular mycorrhiza establishment

The EFIS team from LIPME published a review in Nature Communication, in which they identified a class of LysM-RLK receptors in angiosperms with unique biochemical properties and a role in both LCO and CO perception for AM establishment.
