Distinction AgreenSkills - jeune talent

AgreenSkills program allows young researchers to obtain "incoming" as F.Sorroche mobility, or "outgoing" as Peter Millard who left the LISBP to reach the University of Manchester for 21 months.

AgreenSkills Awarded Campus
Fernando Sorroche

Thanks to the AgreenSkills fellowship, Fernando Sorroche,a young scientist from Argentina has just join the LIPM in the “Symbiotic functions, genome and evolution of rhizobia” team lead by C.Masson & J.Batut. After obtaining a 5-years degree in microbiology, he did his PhD under the direction of W. Giordano and A. Zorreguieta at Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto, working in cell-cell and cell-surface physical interactions in rhizobia, in collaboration with A. Hirsch from the University of California at Los Angeles. Then, he worked one year in Sweden as a postdoc with N. Ausmees (Lund University), studying Stretomyces cell biology and polar growth. Now, he will drop off his luggage at LIPM where he will explore a cAMP signalling cascade that controls infection during the S. meliloti-M. sativa simbiosis.
