A three-year post-doctoral position is open in the Endosymbiotic infection and Nodule development (Enod) LIPM group in the frame-work of the four-year PIOSYM project funded by the French Research Agency (ANR) from January 2020 on.

The Bio-Environnement technological platform is recruiting a 12-month engineering degree on January 1, 2020 on its genomics platform. This position will be dedicated to high-throughput sequencing activities (NGS Illumina type, mainly). The CDD will eventually be renewable in 2021 depending on the activity of the plateau. For this position, we are looking for a BAC +5 in genomics and / or molecular biology, with, if possible, proven experience (a few months or years) in NGS sequencing.

Our friends and colleagues from the iMean startup are recruiting a metabolic architect, i.e. metabolic engineering design. The position consists in managing and performing projects of metabolic engineering design and providing expert support to their customers R&D teams with systems biology analyses.

Under the responsibility of the Unit Director the agent is responsible for the management and operation of the 3 trays of the Station of Theoretical and Experimental Ecology of Moulis. He or she implements protocols and experimental techniques in biology, adapted to scientific research projects, in collaboration with research teams. Main contacts: - users of technical platforms, researchers, students (LMD), trainees. - suppliers, service providers

The aim of this project is to 1) categorize types of social learning, and of conformist learning among other types of social learning; 2) perform experiments on conformity in the fruit fly; 3) to explore the molecular, cellular, physiological and psychological mechanisms involved; 4) develop a model to explore the populational consequences of conformist learning. Our ultimate goal is to unravel whether human conformist learning has been built on mechanisms that already perform a similar function in other species, or whether on wholly new mechanisms that are specific to humans. The successful applicant will work with members of the three below cited institutions, at the interface of these three approaches to reconcile and integrate the experimental approaches used in our labs in order to establish common protocols and approaches.

This 2 year post-doctoral research position is available between two laboratories, the Research Center on Animal Cognition (http://crca.cbi-toulouse.fr/en/home/) that belongs to the Center for Integrative Biology, http://cbi-toulouse.fr/eng/presentation, and Evolution & Biological Diversity (http://edb.cnrs.fr/#pll_switcher) that is part of the TULIP LabEx (/The-TULIP-LabEx) laboratories in Toulouse, Southwestern France. The position will be in relation with Guillaume Isabel and Etienne Danchin (http://www.edanchin.fr/) This position is part of the project entitled « Multiscale study of social learning and memory in Drosophila melanogaster: from genes to animal Culture » funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR).

INRA is opening a recruitment of external research fellow for a position at the Plants Microorganisms Interaction Laboratory. The research theme is the eco-functional analysis of genes involved in plant-plant interactions.

A post-doctoral position is open for a period of 24 months at LRSV (Laboratoire de Recherche en Sciences Végétales, Toulouse, France), as part of an ANR-funded project.

Fixed-term contract of 5 months, from March 1st, 2019 to July 31st, 2019. Recruitment level BAC + 2 maximum. We are looking for a candidate with good knowledge and possibly experience in the fields of plant breeding and microbiology. Molecular biology skills would be a plus. The candidate must be motivated, rigorous and organized.

A postdoctoral position funded by the TULIP LabEx is available in the LRSV to work on plant endocytosis, the role of ubiquitin in plasma membrane protein degradation, and its functional relevance to plant growth and responses to abiotic stress.
