Colloque Plant Protease - Oxford : 10/12 Avril 2016

This meeting, supported by TULIP, will focus on the study of plant mechanisms through proteases.

Plant proteases are involved in nearly every regulatory process by releasing peptide hormones, shedding receptors, cleaving transcription factors, activating proenzymes or eventually degrading specific proteins. Consequently, protease activity is a subject of active research in virtually every field in plant biology. However, studying regulation by plant proteases is not an easy task: proteases are post-translationally regulated and their substrates are elusive and difficult to predict. The aim of this meeting is to bring the research community together to discuss novel approaches and establish standards in protease research.
