MicroPep Technologies is headquartered at the site of Toulouse White Biotechnology

MicroPep Technologies' ambition is to develop biostimulants and natural herbicides by using natural molecules regulating plant metabolism. Founded in 2016 on the scientific research of Jean-Philippe Combier, CNRS researcher in the LRSV - a LabEx TULIP unit –the TULIP funded start-up headquartered at Toulouse White Biotechnology (TWB) on May 2017.

This is the 4th start-up hosted by TWB whose objective is to accelerate the development of industrial biotechnologies.

High potential project

MicroPep intends to offer more scientifically credible natural solutions in the market of biostimulants and biocontrol, estimated globally  at 1.6 and 3 billion euros respectively and growing by more than 10% per year. By headquartering at TWB, the start-up will take advantage of TWB's technological platform and high-tech equipments. Objective: To develop a biological process for industrial production of micro peptides that is both ecological and competitive, a critical step for the long-term economic viability of the project.
