The Summer School TULIP had its 7th edition in July 2018

The LabEx TULIP organized the 7th edition of its summer school "Biological interactions, from genes to ecosystems" from 14 to 20 July 2018. The promotion consisted of 16 PhD students, 2 post-docs and 5 Master students from 12 different countries (Canada, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Philippines, Poland, Serbia, Spain, United Kingdom).

These young researchers attended seminars by Alberto Macho, Eors Szathmary, Marc Knight, Philippe Reymond et Suzanne Renner, William Vickery.

According to the formula that has been running for seven years, the student time was devoted to design, in less than a week, the research project of their dreams in a form of "Project Based Learning" approach. The students also spent a day of mountain hiking and visited the Pic du Midi Observatory, the SETE laboratory facilities as well as the CNRGV, TPMP and the TRI platforms.

This year, we received as usual very positive feedbacks on the summer school, both orally and in response to the satisfaction survey sent to students. A more general survey has also been sent to all former students of previous editions and reports that 70% of the students considered that this summer school had significantly influenced their subsequent carreer choice. See you next year for a special edition!
