Objectives

This call for proposals aims to set up or strengthen public-private partnerships between the LabEx community and scientific companies. The total TULIP budget is 100k€ to be used as a stepping-stone in the lab-to-market process.

Projects are expected to fall in the 10k€ to 25k€ range of TULIP financing (so from 20K€ to 50k€ of total budget including the private partner participation). TULIP will consider projects up to 50k€ of TULIP financing on ambitious collaborations.

To encourage the broadest range of innovations potentially supported by this call for proposals, the only scientific restriction is that the project stays within TULIP’s core goals (MTRs). 

Calendar

Projects should be 6 or 12 months long. They must cofinanced with the private partners providing at least 50% of the budget.
ANR financial guidelines will be used to determine eligible spending by both private and public partners (https://anr.fr/fileadmin/documents/2022/ANR-RF-2022-30062022.pdf).
This allows private partners to include internal costs including human resources.

The deadline for submitting projects is 31st March 2023, which gives you a period of 3 months to make necessary arrangements to build your proposals and partnerships.

Evaluation

The projects will be evaluated and selected by the Innovation Committee which will meet on April 2023. On this occasion, the project leaders will be interviewed by the committee members. Projects will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria :

1. Feasibility
2. Business strategy and long-term collaboration plans
3. Originality and scientific interest
4. Complementarity and synergies within the partnership
5. Sustainable management and quality
6. Ethics
7. Relevance to TULIP scientific research goals
8. Experience of the project leader

Deliverables 

Please note that both financial and scientific reports are expected at the end of your project if selected.
