PhD "Mobility Packages" Call

Objective: Allow PhD students from the two Doctoral Schools affiliated with TULIP-GS and based in one of the 6 TULIP Laboratories to fund travel expenses in France or abroad to 1) visit collaborating group external to the TULIP consortium, 2) attend a training course in relation to their PhD project or 3) contribute to an international meeting.

Maximum funding per mobility project: 3000€

Selection criteria (by order of priority):

  1. Relevance of the mobility to the PhD project. Mobility project aiming to solve a theoretical or practical problem, to bring new competences to the team or to set up a new collaboration will be favored.
  2. Mobility intending to reinforce competences at the interface between functional biology and ecology/evolution or between the Major Themes of Research (MTRs) of the TULIP LabEx are encouraged.
  3. Quality of the applicant CV.

   Our selection procedure will guarantee equal opportunities to all applicants

Expected structure of the application (in English):

1. A short CV (half a page)
2. A summary of the PhD project (150 words)
3. Description of the mobility project (250 words)
4. Expected benefits for the PhD (100 words)
5. PhD supervisor opinion (to be sent independently of the candidate application)
6. A detailed presentation of the requested budget including a signed commitment of not being financed elsewhere for the same mobility project

Application are welcomed at any time. They will be evaluated as they are received and a final answwer will be given within one month after reception of a complete application.

The PhD mobility must be completed not more than 15 months after receiving a positive answer from the TULIP-GS jury

(a short scientific report will be required at the end of the project)
